Course Description

Singapore is Asia's premier education hub, home to two of the world's top 15 universities and a wide range of globally accredited private institutions. International students study on a Student's Pass (STP) issued by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA). This course covers the complete process from applying through SOLAR to collecting your Student's Pass on arrival, along with work rights and post study options. Designed for education consultants and advisors supporting students planning to study at Singapore universities, polytechnics, or private institutions.

What You'll Learn?

• Modules
  Module 1: Singapore Education System and Institution Selection National universities (NUS, NTU, SMU), polytechnics (Ngee Ann, Singapore Polytechnic), private education institutions (PEIs) registered with the Committee for Private Education (CPE), EduTrust certification for PEIs, English language requirements, and admission letter requirements.
  
  Module 2: Student's Pass Application via SOLAR SOLAR (Student's Pass Online Application and Registration) portal walkthrough, how to create an account and submit the in principle approval (IPA) application, required documents, financial capacity evidence (typically SGD 10,000 or more per year as a general reference), processing timeline (typically 2 to 6 weeks), and IPA letter explained.
  
  Module 3: Arrival and Student's Pass Collection Port of entry process with IPA letter, medical examination for certain nationalities, Student's Pass collection at ICA or through the institution, FIN (Foreign Identification Number) registration, opening a Singapore bank account, and understanding STP validity and renewal cycle.
  
  Module 4: Work Rights, Internships and Post Study Part time work entitlement (up to 16 hours per week during term for degree students at autonomous universities), vacation work rules, internship authorisation, Training Employment Pass (TEP) for eligible graduates, and Employment Pass pathway after graduation.
