Course Description

Joining your partner in Ireland is a meaningful journey — and Irish immigration has a clear, if detailed, process for making it happen. Whether your partner is an Irish citizen, an EU citizen exercising treaty rights, or a non EU national with a valid Irish residence permission, the pathway for bringing a spouse or civil partner to Ireland differs depending on the sponsor's status. This course maps out all three scenarios clearly so you can advise any client correctly.

What You'll Learn?

  Module 1: Three Sponsorship Scenarios Explained Spouse of an Irish citizen (De Chuid Act 1956 and EU Treaty Rights), spouse of an EU EEA national exercising treaty rights in Ireland (EU Free Movement Directive), and spouse of a non EU national with a valid Irish residence permission (Stamp 1, 4, or 5), and why the sponsor's status completely changes the application route.
  
  Module 2: Application Process and Supporting Evidence Long stay join family visa application through INIS, required documents (marriage certificate, sponsor's passport and residence documents, proof of genuine and subsisting relationship, financial evidence, accommodation), police clearances, and processing timelines (typically 6 to 12 months through INIS).
  
  Module 3: Arrival, IRP Registration and Pathway to Residency IRP registration at the GNIB or Garda station within 90 days, Stamp allocation depending on sponsor's status, work authorisation under relevant stamp, and pathway to long term residency or Irish citizenship after qualifying years.
