Course Description

Peru is home to some of the most extraordinary heritage on earth Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, Lake Titicaca, the Amazon basin, and Cusco's layered colonial and Inca history draw visitors who leave transformed by what they have seen. Peru is highly accessible to international visitors, with visa free entry for most nationalities and a simple tourist stamp on arrival. This course teaches the complete Peru visitor entry system and how to advise clients planning one of South America's most iconic trips.

    Module 1: Peru Visitor Entry Framework and Visa Free Access Peru's open tourism policy, visa free entry for USA, Canada, EU, UK, Australia, Japan, and most of Latin America, permitted stay (typically 90 to 183 days depending on immigration officer's discretion), nationalities requiring a prior visa (limited list, mostly certain African and Asian nationalities), activities permitted under tourist entry, and Andean Community of Nations free movement for South American passport holders.

    Module 2: Tourist Visa Application for Required Nationalities Peruvian consulate application, required documents (passport, application form, photographs, round trip flights, hotel confirmation, financial evidence, travel insurance), processing timelines, single versus multiple entry options, and extension of stay through the National Superintendency of Migration (Superintendencia Nacional de Migraciones) inside Peru.

    Module 3: Entry, Altitude Guidance and Andean Circuit Planning Immigration clearance at Lima Jorge Chávez International Airport, tourist card (Tarjeta Andina de Migración) issued on arrival, important altitude acclimatisation advice for clients visiting Cusco and Machu Picchu, prohibited agricultural items, practical tips for getting from Lima to the highlands safely, and how to plan a combined Peru, Bolivia, and Chile itinerary for clients.
