Course Description

Latvia offers EU based education at some of the most competitive costs in Europe, with Riga as a growing international student city. Students from outside the EU and EEA need a national visa and temporary residence permit to study in Latvia. This course covers the complete process from admission and visa filing to arrival, residence registration, and work rights.

What You'll Learn?

• Modules
  Module 1: Latvian Education and Admission University of Latvia, Riga Technical University, Riga Stradins University (popular for medicine and dentistry), English taught programme availability, IELTS requirements, tuition fees (from approximately EUR 2,000 per year for some programmes), and official admission letter.
  
  Module 2: National Visa and Residence Permit Type D national visa application at the Latvian consulate, required documents (admission letter, financial evidence approximately EUR 256 per month as a minimum reference, health insurance, accommodation proof), processing timelines, and temporary residence permit application at the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA) after arrival.
  
  Module 3: Arrival, OCMA Registration and Student Rights Address declaration at the OCMA, personal identity code (personas kods), health insurance, Latvian bank account, work rights for students (up to 20 hours per week), and residence permit renewal before expiry.
