Course Description

Italy's work permit system has one distinctive feature that makes it unlike almost any other country in the world: the Decreto Flussi. Every year (or sometimes every few months), the Italian government opens a fixed number of work permit slots and when they open, the applications flood in within hours. Understanding this system, knowing how to prepare in advance, and knowing what to do after a slot is granted is the difference between getting your client to Italy or watching the quota close before they apply. This course teaches you all of it.

What You'll Learn?
  • Modules
Module 1: The Decreto Flussi — Italy's Annual Work Quota System What the Decreto Flussi is and how it works, annual quota allocation by sector and nationality, 2024 and 2025 quota updates, which nationalities have preferential access (countries with bilateral agreements with Italy), subordinate employment versus seasonal work versus self employment flows, and why timing your application matters more in Italy than almost anywhere else.

Module 2: Employer Application — Nulla Osta for Work How the Italian employer applies for the nulla osta to hire a foreign worker through the Sportello Unico per l'Immigrazione (SUE), click day explained (the chaotic but real phenomenon of quota applications being submitted in seconds), employer documentation requirements, processing timelines after the nulla osta is granted, and how to work with an Italian employer as an immigration consultant.

Module 3: Work Visa Application and Entry Worker's application for the work visa at the Italian consulate after nulla osta is granted, Type D national visa for employment, required documents (passport, nulla osta, employment contract, educational certificates), consulate processing timeline, and what the worker brings on arrival.
