Course Description
Optional Practical Training (OPT) allows eligible F-1 students to obtain temporary employment authorization for practical training directly related to their major area of study. Eligible STEM graduates may qualify for an additional 24-month STEM OPT extension subject to specific requirements. This training provides immigration professionals with practical knowledge of pre-completion and post-completion OPT, STEM OPT eligibility, DSO recommendations, Form I-765, employment requirements and reporting obligations. The course is designed for immigration consultants, education advisers, student counsellors, visa professionals and caseworkers handling USA student-to-work immigration matters.
