Course Description
Ireland’s Start-up Entrepreneur Programme (STEP) provides an immigration route for non-EEA entrepreneurs with an innovative business proposal and the required funding to establish and operate a business in Ireland. Applications are assessed by an independent evaluation committee and considered by the Minister for Justice. This training covers STEP eligibility, innovative business proposals, funding evidence, source of funds, business planning, application documentation, evaluation and immigration permission requirements. The course is designed for immigration consultants, business immigration professionals, start-up advisers, investment professionals and visa caseworkers handling Irish entrepreneur cases. Module 3
Funding, Source of Funds & Financial Documentation
Master the assessment of required funding, ownership of available capital and evidence establishing the source of funds. Learn how to organise financial records and supporting documents while distinguishing genuine business funding from evidence that may not adequately demonstrate the applicant’s financial position.
Module 4
STEP Application & Evaluation Process
Understand the electronic application process, supporting documentation, application fee procedure and quarterly evaluation framework. Learn how proposals are reviewed by the independent evaluation committee and how applicants should prepare for requests for additional information.

Residence Permission & Business Compliance

Proposals are considered on a quarterly basis by an independent evaluation committee, which may request further information before making a recommendation to the Minister for Justice. Successful applicants receive permission to reside subject to the programme’s conditions.
