Course Description

Taiwan’s foreign employment framework covers several categories of professional and specialist work, with requirements determined by the Employment Service Act and the Act for the Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professionals. Many professional work permit applications are handled through the Ministry of Labor’s work permit system. This training provides practical knowledge of employer sponsorship, professional eligibility, qualifications, work categories, supporting documents, online applications and employment compliance. The course is designed for immigration consultants, recruitment agents, HR professionals, visa filing specialists and caseworkers handling Taiwan employment cases. Through World Visa Academy’s structured training, learners develop skills to assess foreign-worker profiles, match applicants with applicable work categories, coordinate employer documentation and manage work permit applications. The course focuses on professional case preparation without guaranteeing employment, work permit approval or residence.

Frequently Asked Questions

The course covers Taiwan’s foreign professional employment framework, eligibility assessment, employer sponsorship, qualifications, documentation, online work permit applications and ongoing compliance. World Visa Academy focuses on practical case assessment so immigration professionals can match applicants with the appropriate work category and coordinate employer and applicant documentation more effectively.

Eligibility depends on the type of work, applicant qualifications, professional experience, employer and applicable legal category. Taiwan’s system includes specialised or technical work and other professional categories, while foreign specialist professionals are governed under a separate framework. The exact qualification standards must therefore be assessed against the applicant’s occupation and proposed employment.

Typical professional cases can require the applicant’s passport, academic qualification evidence, professional experience records, employment contract and employer registration or business documents. The exact documents depend on the work category and applicant circumstances. Taiwan’s official application system provides category-specific forms and supporting-document requirements.

For many foreign professional positions, the employer applies for the work permit through Taiwan’s Ministry of Labor system. The application is reviewed against the applicable qualification and employment criteria, with supporting documents submitted as required. Once authorised, the worker must continue to comply with the conditions attached to the employment and immigration status.

The course is suitable for immigration consultants, recruitment agents, HR professionals, visa filing specialists and caseworkers handling Taiwan employment cases. It is particularly useful for professionals who want to understand foreign professional eligibility, employer documentation, work permit applications, specialist-professional alternatives, renewals and employment compliance without promising employment or approval.
